Biopolymers and Ecodesign: A Training Day for Sustainable Industry
"Designing a Sustainable Future: Biopolymers and Ecodesign in Industrial Practice"
AMBIANCE, in collaboration with project partner CRIT, is set to host an engaging and educational training day at the Laboratori Aperti in Modena. The event invites companies, start-ups, students, and sustainability enthusiasts to explore the latest innovations in biopolymers and ecodesign, two fields pivotal to Europe’s ecological transition.
This one-day in-person event will feature two expert-led modules, offering a balanced mix of technical insights and practical applications:
Module 1 – Biopolymers
Participants will receive a comprehensive overview of bio-based and biodegradable materials, including their properties, real-world applications, regulatory context, and current research trends. This session aims to demystify the growing field of biopolymers, a crucial component of sustainable material science.
Module 2 – Ecodesign
This hands-on module focuses on how sustainability can be integrated into the design process. Attendees will explore ecodesign principles, energy and logistics impact assessments, and case studies that show how circular thinking is transforming industries.
Leading Experts from Proplast
The modules will be led by two distinguished experts from Proplast, a leading company in training and applied research on advanced materials:
Marta Zaccone, Technology Transfer Project Manager – Cluster & Collaborative Research
Maria Teresa Scrivani, R&D Project Manager – Materials Engineering Area
Both bring extensive experience and deep knowledge to help participants navigate complex sustainability challenges with practical, actionable insights.
